Keys

A set of keys should be collected at Il Casal Mustia in Castelmuzio. The couple that run Il Casal Mustia (a small hotel restaurant and bar) located in the centre of Castelmuzio manage the property for me. They will supply you with the street door key and a key enter the apartment.  The main door to the apartment is glass – do not slam but do make sure to close firmly.
Times; if you arrive before 15h00 then you may well find the house being cleaned. Please allow the cleaners to finish.

You should find all beds made up, the house cleaned from top to bottom, fresh towels for the bathroom and separate towels for the pool.

Parking

You may leave your car in front of the apartment for a maximum period of 10 minutes.  Otherwise you risk a fine.  There are two parking lots in town both less then 200 yards away.  Please use this or you will face a fine.

Welcome Basket

On the table, you will find a few items to make your arrival more pleasant.  After a long trip, I highly recommend opening the spumante in the refrigerator as soon as possible!  Otherwise, I nice glass of red wine could hit the spot or a simple plate of pasta with tomato sauce.
The cookies are known as Cantuccini, a local specialty, and are meant to be dipped in the Vin Santo (Sainted Wine) as a desert or mid afternoon snack.
A note on Tuscan bread.  In the middle ages, the Pope raised revenues by taxing salt.  The Tuscans do not hold allegiance to the Pope and, consequently, refused to pay the tax.  Therefore, tuscan bread is without salt, something that makes it especially adapted to the strong flavours of meats and cheeses you will find.

Departure

On the day of your departure our cleaners will arrive at around 10h00. Please could you strip your beds and replace items where you found them. The cleaner will start from the top to bottom, so bedrooms first. Leave the keys on the kitchen table.

Times

Unfortunately you must be out of the house by 11h00 to allow cleaning to be finished before the next guests arrive.
